Yes! In the village of Corolla all golf carts are street legal from sunrise to sunset. They are permitted to cross Route 12 (Ocean Trail) but are not permitted to be driven on Route 12. Some of the communities that we serve include The Currituck Club, Whalehead, Buck Island, Spindrift, Monteray Shores, Pine Island, Ocean Hill, Corolla Bay, Crown Point, and The Villages at Ocean Hill.
- Park your Golf Cart in a well ventilated area.
- Ensure the key is in the off position.
- Locate the extension cord and charger provided. Both should be located in the storage area underneath the rear facing seat.
- Take the extension cord provided and plug it into a non-damaged outlet located on the outside of your rental home. We recommend you use a GFCI outlet. Most of our extension cords light up on the female plug end to show that current is present.
- Next, plug the charger into the extension cord. Then, plug the charger into your Golf Cart charger receptacle. The receptacle is located below the front seat of a 4 passenger or rear seat of a 6 passenger.
- There are many styles of chargers.
- Yours may have an indicator light. Instructions regarding the lights are usually located on the back of the charger. For most chargers with a light, you will see a sequence of different colors before going to a solid red light that will blink on and off for a couple seconds. The light color will switch to yellow when charge is over 80%, then turn green when fully charged.
- If your charger has a needle, you should see the needle go between 10-15 amps depending on the level of charge.
- As mentioned, please allow your Golf Cart to charge fully at least 8 hours each night. It is a good idea to plug it in anytime it is not in use.
